Tawang, Aug 29: Tourists visiting Bumla Pass, the scenic snow-covered mountain pass on the Indo-China border in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang district, will soon have to pay an entry fee.According to a notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Namgyal Angmo, an amount of ₹100 per person will be charged from all visitors starting September 1, 2025.
The order, however, exempts children below the age of 12 years and APST (Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe) tourists from the fee.Authorities informed that the proceeds collected will be utilized for environmental conservation, waste management, and community development initiatives in the region.
