A Redbird Airways Beechcraft C90 air ambulance (VT‑AJV) flying from Ranchi to Delhi crashed Monday evening in the Kasaria Panchayat area of Chatra district, Jharkhand, after losing radar contact with Kolkata ATC at about 19:34 IST. The aircraft, which took off from Birsa Munda Airport at 19:11 IST, was carrying seven people—two crew members, a 41‑year‑old burn patient, a doctor, a paramedic and two attendants. District‑level search‑and‑rescue teams have reached the site, and the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau has dispatched a team to probe the cause, which preliminary reports link to possible weather‑related deviation and a technical fault.
