Sikkim is revving up the excitement with its first-ever high-altitude supercar rally, “Sikkim – The Silk Route Drive,” happening from December 12 to 15, 2025. This adrenaline-packed event features 17 world-class supercars, including Lamborghinis and Porsches, navigating the state’s rugged mountain terrain.
Organized by the Mumbai-based Super Car Route Group in collaboration with the Government of Sikkim and the Indian Army’s Black Cat Division, the rally aims to position Sikkim as a premier destination for elite motoring experiences. The convoy will traverse key locations, including Nathu La, Cho La, and Gnathang Valley, highlighting the state’s scenic landscapes and cultural heritage.
Route Highlights:
- Start Point: Sukna, near Siliguri
- Key Stops: Gangtok, Cho La, Nathu La, Gnathang, and Zuluk
- Distance:Approximately 650 km over three days
Event Significance:
The rally is part of the Ministry of Defence’s ‘Bharat Ranbhoomi Darshan’ initiative, promoting battlefield and border tourism. It will showcase Sikkim’s potential for luxury automotive tourism, attracting enthusiasts and adventure seekers.
