Vietnam has just wrapped up an incredible year for tourism, welcoming a record-breaking 21.17 million international visitors in 2025, a whopping 20.4% increase from 2024! This impressive growth surpasses the global average of around 5% and Asia-Pacific’s 8%.
The country’s relaxed visa policies, improved travel infrastructure, and targeted marketing campaigns have all contributed to this remarkable success. China led the charge, accounting for 5.28 million visitors, followed by South Korea with 4.33 million.
Top Destinations:
– Ho Chi Minh City: 8.5 million visitors, up 39% year-on-year
– Hanoi: 7.8 million visitors, with tourism revenue reaching VND 134.5 trillion ($5.5 billion)
– Da Nang: 17.3 million visitors, above pre-pandemic levels
– An Giang: 24 million visitors, with international arrivals jumping 90%
The tourism surge has generated significant revenue, with estimates reaching $41 billion in 2025. The government is optimistic, targeting 25 million international visitors in 2026.
