Baba Harbhajan Singh, also known as the Saint of Nathula, is remembered as a soldier who continues to serve both in life and in spirit at the Nathula border between India and China in East Sikkim. Despite his passing in 1968 at the young age of 22 while on duty in Sikkim, he is still believed to guard the Nathula border.
Revered by both the Indian and Chinese armies, Baba is honored even today. During flag meetings between the two nations, the Chinese army sets aside a chair for him, acknowledging his undying spirit and commitment.
