Mangan, March 7 – Good news for tourists planning a trip to Lachen! The Mangan District Administration has announced that permits for visiting Lachen will be issued starting March 8, following the established government protocol. Tourists and travel agencies can obtain the necessary permits through the District Collectorate, Mangan, or via the usual permit procedures for North Sikkim travel.
In a related advisory, the Mangan District Administration has issued traffic regulations for the newly completed Bailey Suspension Bridge over Taram Chu at Km 15.650 on the Chungthang-Lachen road. To ensure smooth traffic and protect the bridge, safety guidelines must be followed by all vehicles crossing the bridge.
Visitors planning to head to Lachen from March 8 are urged to adhere to the prescribed guidelines.
