Melli, September 24: Roads and Bridges Department Minister N.B. Dahal conducted an on-site inspection of the Melli Bazar Entrance Road to assess road conditions and review traffic management at one of Sikkim’s major entry points.
Accompanied by senior departmental officials, Minister Dahal inspected damaged stretches of the road, roadside drainage and water-flow arrangements. He also assessed landslide- and slip-prone areas along the corridor and reviewed the need for slope protection and stabilization measures.
The Minister also took stock of the heavy vehicular movement and congestion at the bazaar entrance. He directed officials to take targeted measures to improve drainage, secure vulnerable slopes and streamline traffic movement
